A growth-hormone releasing hormone analogue that clears quickly, producing one sharp pulse. Commonly studied alongside Ipamorelin, where the two give a stronger release than either alone.

Published research
- Human trial
Using CJC-1295 with DAC (no published study used the no-DAC form): in two randomised placebo-controlled trials in healthy adults, it produced sustained, dose-dependent increases in GH and IGF-I.
Teichman SL, et al. Prolonged stimulation of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor I secretion by CJC-1295, a long-acting analog of GH-releasing hormone, in healthy adults. The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. 2006. PMID 16352683
- Human trial
Using CJC-1295 with DAC: in healthy young men, a single injection raised baseline and average GH and IGF-I levels while the natural pulse pattern of GH was preserved.
Ionescu M, et al. Pulsatile secretion of growth hormone (GH) persists during continuous stimulation by CJC-1295, a long-acting GH-releasing hormone analog. The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. 2006. PMID 17018654
- Animal study
Using CJC-1295 with DAC: in rats and cultured rat pituitary cells, this albumin-binding modified GRF(1-29) stimulated GH release and stayed in the blood for more than 72 hours.
Jetté L, et al. Human growth hormone-releasing factor (hGRF)1-29-albumin bioconjugates activate the GRF receptor on the anterior pituitary in rats: identification of CJC-1295 as a long-lasting GRF analog. Endocrinology. 2005. PMID 15817669
- Animal study
Using CJC-1295 with DAC: in mice lacking natural GHRH, repeated treatment maintained normal body weight, length and body composition and increased pituitary GH production.
